It starts with one.
No matter what you are looking to do, remember, it starts with one. One idea, one contact, one sale, one referral.
I’m blessed to be typing this at a time when my business is established and has even been honored with a local award, Best New Business of 2020 Gold by SRQ Media. Guess what, I’m still focused on one.
It was Thomas Watson, Sr. that first coined the phrase “Nothing happens until a sale is made.”
Over the past month, I have gotten one new customer each week. Now my business is structured to where I can sell a $5 product per month or a service at $700 per month. What this does is allow anyone at any price range to do business with me.
If you are an entrepreneur, social and giving person, you may find people just wanting to be around you. It might be for your energy, your insights or just your business experience. But if someone in the business world wants to be around you, then it is only fair that they pay something. Think about what business you’re in, what parallel sectors complement your product or service and see if you can begin offering that to your current and future customers.
For me, I treat my $10 a month client the same as my $700 a month client. They both get their calls answered, their emails returned, and invitations to any social or networking events my company knows of that can help their business grow. My mom was a Rockstar, she owned her own businesses and raised 3 troubled kids, meaning, we liked to get into trouble. I got a front row seat to see how a small business owner, my mom, was able to provide for us. Again, she was an amazing woman and I’m honored to have had her in my life to teach me for 17 years.
If technology in the 90’s allowed a single mom to raise three kids in Hilton Head Island, SC then with today’s advantages, I know you can achieve your dreams through technology.
